Hebrews 7 10-31-15 — October 31, 2015
Hebrews 6 10-30-15 — October 30, 2015

Hebrews 6 10-30-15

Hebrews 6:19-20a  We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, [20] where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf….

In the Old Testament temple, a veil/curtain separated the Holy of Holies (where God’s presence stays) from the rest of the temple. At the time of the crucifixion, the veil was torn from top to bottom, signifying that only God could “reach” the top. He made a way for salvation!
🎵You tore the veil, You made a way! When you said that, “It is done!” 🎵

Hebrews 6 10-29-15 — October 29, 2015

Hebrews 6 10-29-15

Hebrews 6:7-8  For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. [8] But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.

Here’s a good analogy. We can be a land with a plentiful harvest [growing in God’s Word, constantly being transformed] OR……we can bear thorns [Not in the Word, stuck in a rut, living in a sin]. Are you a plentiful harvest or bearing thorns??
Let’s help each other be a plentiful harvest today. 🍏🍎🍐🍊🍋🍓

Hebrews 5 10-28-15 — October 28, 2015

Hebrews 5 10-28-15

Hebrews 5:13 (AMP)  For everyone who continues to feed on milk is obviously inexperienced and unskilled in the doctrine of righteousness (of conformity to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action), for he is a mere infant [not able to talk yet]!

Here is the precursor to vs. 14. We must want to become experienced. Our goal should be to age past an infant [become more mature in Christ].
Pray for Him to give you the desire to grow in Him today. 🙏

Hebrews 5 10-27-15 — October 27, 2015

Hebrews 5 10-27-15

Hebrews 5:11 (AMP)
Concerning this we have much to say which is hard to explain, since you have become dull in your [spiritual] hearing and sluggish [even slothful in achieving spiritual insight].
Are we striving for Jesus? Our goal should be to become more like Him!
Isaiah 6:10. [And the LORD said]….”Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”
Let’s not be a sloth today 😉 Make an effort to be transformed by Jesus!!

Hebrews 4 10-25-15 — October 26, 2015

Hebrews 4 10-25-15

Hebrews 4:12  For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

What power the Word of God has!? Here’s why we NEED to be in the Bible every day. Once we begin reading, God uses His word to change us from the inside out!
Let’s go worship Him for transforming us! 💒

Hebrews 4 10-26-15 —

Hebrews 4 10-26-15

Hebrews 4:16
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
When we are tempted, we must look to Him. Jesus does understand! (Vs. 15) Our Father wants us to seek His face and deny ourselves.
Approach His throne in your time of need today. 🙏
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Hebrews 3 10-24-15 — October 24, 2015

Hebrews 3 10-24-15

Hebrews 3:13   But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called today, that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

Exhort (v.)-to give urgent advice, recommendations, or warnings.
The Holy Spirit is the main source of exhortation in believers (John 16:8), but sometimes we don’t listen! It can be of help to receive exhortation [advice, warnings] from those we trust [fellow believers].
Let’s help each other live for Christ today! 👥

Hebrews 2 10-23-15 — October 23, 2015

Hebrews 2 10-23-15

Hebrews 2:10  For it was fitting that He, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of salvation perfect through suffering.

Jesus brought us into glory (salvation). We are His sons! He has welcomed us into the Family of God!!
Let’s live for God today. 😇

Hebrews 2 10-22-15 — October 22, 2015

Hebrews 2 10-22-15

Hebrews 2:18  For because He Himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

Jesus was tempted just like we are every day. Did He fall?? No, instead he quoted scripture to fight Satan. Jesus knows how temptation feels. I don’t know exactly what your temptation is. (Greed, Lust, Gossip, Porn, and simply rudeness are a few a man may have.) Pray for renewal and help to stand firm.
Spend some time in the Word to fight Satan today.

I love Jesus and playing dress up.
