Matthew 10 3-31-16 — March 31, 2016

Matthew 10 3-31-16

Matthew 10:16 “Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves.”

Be careful! There are wolves prowling around all the time. They are waiting for a good time to strike! We need to use God’s Holy Spirit for discernment. Be harmless like a dove, yet cunning like a snake today.

Matthew 10 3-30-16 — March 30, 2016

Matthew 10 3-30-16

Matthew 10:2-4 Here are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (also called Peter), then Andrew (Peter’s brother), James (son of Zebedee), John (James’s brother), [3] Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Matthew (the tax collector), James (son of Alphaeus), Thaddaeus, [4] Simon (the zealot ), Judas Iscariot (who later betrayed him).

The Disciples were just a group of regular young men! Not to mention, just a few years older than me! However, they did amazing things THROUGH the Holy Spirit. We have the Spirit in us! Rely on Him today!!

Matthew 9 3-29-16 — March 29, 2016

Matthew 9 3-29-16

Matthew 9:38 “So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”

Heavenly Father, I pray that you would send more workers for Your harvest. Send us out to do Your work with a cheerful heart. Thank you, Lord! Amen.

Easter Sunday – Resurrection 3-27-16 — March 27, 2016

Easter Sunday – Resurrection 3-27-16

I know we are in chapter 9, but… is special.Matthew 28:1, 5-6 Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb….
[5] Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. [6] He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.”

HE IS RISEN, HE IS RISEN INDEED! Celebrate this Easter Sunday!

Matthew 9 3-26-16 — March 26, 2016

Matthew 9 3-26-16

Matthew 9:15 Jesus replied, “Do wedding guests mourn while celebrating with the groom? Of course not. But someday the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.”

‭‭Jesus made a good point, at the time, He was there with Him. It was a time to celebrate, because He would be leaving Earth soon…Jesus took away the Law that we could never keep, and now we can have a relationship with Him! Jesus didn’t come to institute religion, He came to start a relationship.

Honor Jesus on this Holy Saturday. (The day before Easter.) 🙏

Matthew 9 3-25-16 — March 25, 2016

Matthew 9 3-25-16

Matthew 9:10-12 Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”

The Pharisees were upset that Jesus was eating and spending time with the sinners. However, it is those very sinners that Jesus came and died for! He was the only one who could!! We need to do the same thing, reach out to the lost. Don’t allow their bad habits to become habits of yours, guard your heart. But don’t stay inside a little bubble.

Honor Jesus for His death on this Good Friday.

Matthew 9 3-24-16 — March 24, 2016

Matthew 9 3-24-16

Matthew 9:5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’?

He certainly got those who thought He was in the wrong thinking….🤔 Which is easier? For Jesus, they are both simple. For us, they are both impossible. Jesus can do both of these things….and He did!!

Matthew 8 3-23-16 — March 23, 2016

Matthew 8 3-23-16

Matthew 8:32 And He said to them, “Go.” So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished in the water.

I love stories about the power of Jesus. He can do so many amazing things! However, some of the people probably didn’t know what to think of Jesus.

Be thankful that we know Him as Savior, and live in awe of Him today. 🙌

Matthew 8 3-22-16 — March 22, 2016

Matthew 8 3-22-16

Matthew 8:20 And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

‭Jesus showed the great costs of following after Him. He had no true home at this time, since He traveled so often. Are we prepared to sacrifice to follow Christ? We’ve had it relatively easy, so today, let us live in a way, and pray that we would be able sacrifice for Jesus. (He gave His life!) ✝

I love Jesus and playing dress up.
