John 15:26-27  “But I will send you the Advocate —the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me. [27] And you must also testify about me because you have been with me from the beginning of my ministry.” {Emphasis Added}

Are we to share the Gospel with others? Why, yes, of course! That is the starting point of our commission to make disciples! However, we forget too often that we don’t save people. The Spirit does! Only through divine conviction will a person repent and turn to Jesus. The bold phrases in the verses above show that the Spirit will come down and convict. We are called to plant the seed though. Remember that as you share the Gospel with those around you.

Remember 2 Corinthians 4:4, Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

That is why the Spirit must open their eyes and hearts!
