Psalm 37:1-2 Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb.
I want to focus on these two verses. Here’s thought….sin looks and can be fun….in that moment. Sin can offer immediate pleasure and a good feeling. But think about the big picture……is sin ever good for you in the long run? Does it ever help you become more like Christ? The answer is a simple, “No!” I won’t deny that sin can be fun for a time, but it always comes back to bite you! Today, instead of being jealous of the “fun” that the lost have in sin, let us be thankful that we have a God who cares for us enough to protect us! It will be better for us in the long run!
Psalm 37:9-11 For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land. In just a little while, the wicked will be no more; though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there. But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace.
